Ryan Barnett – Director of Application Security Training

Ryan C. Barnett is a recognized security thought leader and evangelist who frequently speaks with the media and industry groups. He is director of application security at Breach Security and a SANS Institute faculty member. He holds six SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications, serves as the team lead for the Center for Internet Security Apache Benchmark Project and is a member of the Web Application Security Consortium. Mr. Barnett’s web security book, “Preventing Web Attacks with Apache,” was published by Addison/Wesley in 2006.

 

Dave Cronin – Director, Worldwide Channels

As an information and application security professional, Dave Cronin brings over 15 years of experience pioneering new technology, introducing new products, and directing technical sales and services for companies such as Digitas, Netegrity, VeriSign, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and Citrix. In his current role as Director, Worldwide Channels for Breach Security, Dave is responsible for leading the company’s worldwide partner network. He holds B.S. degree from Syracuse University.

 

Ivan Ristic – Chief Evangelist

Ivan authored ModSecurity, an open source web application firewall with over 10,000 users worldwide representing the largest deployment base of any web application security solution available. Prior to moving to the computer security field, Ristic spent a number of years working as a developer, system architect, and technical director in the software development industry. He authored Apache Security for O’Reilly (http://www.apachesecurity.net), a concise yet comprehensive web security guide for administrators, system architects, and programmers.

 

Ofer Shezaf – Vice President of Security Research

Shezaf leads IT security research for Breach Security, Inc. where he is responsible for defining security features for Breach Security’s products and driving the diverse research activities of Breach Security Labs, the research arm of Breach Security. His research program is focused on the design and operations of web application firewalls including leading the Core Rule Set project, an open source project for generic detection of application layer attacks. Shezaf serves as an officer of the Web Application Security Consortium (WASC) where he leads the Web Hacking Incidents Database project. He also leads the Israeli chapter of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). Prior to joining Breach Security, Shezaf was a group manager and later a special advisor on national infrastructure protection for the Israeli government and intelligence forces.
